We had an unusual situation with our tree. As the tree crew made their first cut into the trunk of the tree, after all the limbs had been removed, they discovered a large hive of honey bees. They stopped work at that point for that day. I was able to contact the local beekeepers association and with the help of the tree crew putting a covering over the open trunk and making the next cut further down below the hive, many of the bees were saved and relocated.
