Bartlett’s Consulting Arborists are a team of highly credentialed and experienced individuals. Bartlett Consulting was first established in the United Kingdom in the late 1990s. The tree consulting team continues to grow to this day, including the HortScience | Bartlett Consulting office Berkeley, CA, and individual Consulting Arborists located throughout the company footprint.

Management software

ArborScope™ is a web-based tree inventory and management tool that allows users to track and plan maintenance needs efficiently. It overlays data on Google Maps™ and provides customized reports.

Sustainability quantification

Bartlett uses i-Tree software to quantify the economic, environmental, and social benefits of trees. The tool estimates carbon storage, pollution removal, energy savings, and other sustainability factors.

Tree and shrub care plans

We create phased, customized care plans that prioritize needs and help you budget for long-term tree and shrub health.

Tree inventories

We conduct detailed tree inventories to document species, size, condition, and needs, forming the basis for tailored management plans.

Tree management plans

Management plans summarize tree inventory data and provide recommendations for tree care over three to five years. They include species, condition, size, observed pests, tree risk assessments, planting opportunities, and more.

Tree risk assessments

Tree risk assessments identify, analyze, and evaluate tree risks. Services range from Level 1 limited visual assessments to Level 3 advanced assessments, including sonic tomography and resistance drilling.

Urban and Community Forestry Society (UCFS)

Bartlett Tree Experts and the UCFS established a new collaborative partnership in 2024. Through this collaboration, Bartlett became the society’s Learning Series sponsor to assist UCFS in their strategic goal of “pushing the profession of urban forestry, and the professionals who do the work, to new heights.”

Land Trust Alliance (LTA)

In 2024, Bartlett and the LTA initiated a corporate partnership because both organizations believe in conserving and caring for the lands and waters that support tree and forest health. Bartlett works with land trusts of all sizes to help them conserve and steward the trees and shrubs on their properties and is the only arboricultural consulting firm in the LTA’s corporate partnership program.

HortScience | Bartlett Consulting and the UK and Ireland Consultancy are Bartlett’s full-time, dedicated consulting offices. However, Bartlett also has additional trained consulting arborists throughout the entire Bartlett footprint. We work hard to identify, train, and support talented individuals within our Bartlett Tree Experts offices to conduct projects within their regions.
