At Bartlett Tree Experts, Safety Above All Else is a motto that is more than just words. In addition to doing everything we can to protect ourselves from injury, our crews also place avoiding damage to property above all else. One way we avoid damaging property is by establishing a Drop Zone below the tree to ensure work is done in a controlled manner and nothing is damaged by falling debris. Our crews establish the Drop Zone area with green cones or flagging tape, and temporarily remove any items (obstacles) out of that area. To protect immovable obstacles such as structures, other trees or shrubs, or hardscape features, rigging techniques and ropes are used to safely lower branches and logs. One crew member, the Drop Zone monitor, is allowed in and out of the area and controls the activities performed there.
To help us work safely, mention any unseen obstacles, hazards, or other particulars (such as a septic system or privately buried gas lines) to your Bartlett Arborist Representative as work at your property is being planned. Additionally, be sure to inform your Arborist of any upcoming house or landscape additions that may affect the scope of work Bartlett will conduct. This will allow the Arborist and crew to do everything possible to take care of your trees and prevent damage to your property.
At Bartlett, we care about your landscape and property and have many tools and techniques to ensure a safe outcome—with happy trees and happy clients!
