Pete McAra, Consulting Arborist at Bartlett Tree Experts, works out of our Victoria, BC office.

More about Pete McAra

Pete was born and raised in Victoria, BC, and has always been most content when outdoors. Pete started in arboriculture in 2002 as an eager groundsperson at Mt. View Tree Service (which was acquired by Bartlett Tree Experts in 2004.) In 2007 he earned a diploma in Applied Chemistry and Bio-Technology from Camosun College. However, his love of the outdoors made working with trees a perfect fit, so Pete returned to Bartlett to build his career. Pete held positions as Arborist Climber, Boom Truck operator, Crew Foreman, and Plant Health Care Specialist prior to becoming a Field Consulting Arborist. Pete’s versatile skill set and experience with cultural problems of the trees of the Pacific Northwest are valuable assets.

An ISA Certified Arborist, who is also Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ), Pete enjoys the challenges of being a Field Consulting Arborist. He helps clients maintain the health of their trees and shrubs and achieve their goals for their properties.

In his free time, Pete can be found on a local slo-pitch diamond, hiking in the mountains or enjoying one of the island’s vast trail networks.
