Climbing the largest spruce in Carmanah
Conservationists with the Ancient Forest Alliance have located, climbed, and measured the largest spruce tree in the Carmanah Valley. The record-sized tree grows protected within the Carmanah-Walbran Provincial Park on Vancouver Island. The team at Bartlett Tree Experts donated their skills and expertise to make this climb possible. Shout out to Victoria’s own, Luke Violini, and Finn Rowlands!

Woolly aphid in katsura tree
Woolly Aphids are sap-sucking insects that produce a filamentous waxy white covering which resembles cotton or wool. The adults are winged and move to new locations where they lay egg masses. The nymphs often form large cottony masses on twigs, for protection from predators. Call our office today if you have concern of pests on your property.
