Bartlett is proud to announce the opening of its new state-of-the-art research laboratories and office facilities at White House Farm, Spencers Wood in the United Kingdom. The move marks a major investment in the UK team’s arboricultural capability and strengthens Bartlett’s long-standing commitment to advancing the science and practice of tree care.
The new centre, called the R.A. Bartlett Research Laboratory and Arboretum, brings together diagnostic laboratories, research and development, arboricultural training and regional operational support in one purpose-built site designed to enhance collaboration and scientific innovation.

Located in the heart of Berkshire, the new site will serve as the core for environmental stewardship and in turn community engagement throughout the UK and Ireland. Bartlett looks forward to working with local authorities, academic partners and environmental organisations to further tree health and sustainability initiatives.
This is Bartlett’s third dedicated research and arboretum site worldwide. An expansive 366-acre site in Charlotte, North Carolina contains over 26,000 accessioned plants in fourteen major grounds as well as a number of ongoing research trials. The Company also has a 17-acre arboretum and lab site west of Portland, Oregon, in Cornelius with more than 1,000 accessioned plants.
