Stephen's interest in trees began when he was a Boy Scout, and his career in the green industry started in high school when he worked with an arborist in Connecticut. After serving our country as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division, he enrolled at the University of Maine. He graduated with a degree in Forestry Management and another degree in Forestry with an Urban Forestry focus. Stephen was attracted to Bartlett Tree Experts’ scientific and holistic approach to arboriculture and joined the Company in 2003, in Pittsburgh. He has been recognized as a Champion Arborist Representative within the Company. He is passionate about the promotion of proper arboricultural practices and has given over 100 professional presentations.
Stephen is a Board-Certified Master Arborist, Registered Consulting Arborist, Certified Tree Care Safety Professional, and has his Tree Risk Assessment Qualification. He is dedicated to helping clients make informed decisions to maintain the health and beauty of their properties.
Stephen is married with three children and enjoys time with his family. He is active in his church, serves as an Assistant Scoutmaster and as a soccer coach in his community.
