Ryan has an Associate of Applied Science degree in Horticulture from Clackamas Community College and began his career in 2004 as a horticulturist in Idaho, meeting the landscape goals of residential, municipal, and commercial clients before his career path turned to arboriculture in 2014. Ryan has a wide range of experience in landscapes, hardscapes, small agriculture, community garden management, forest improvement projects, and arboriculture. In the tree care industry, he has held positions as skilled tree climber, crew leader, trainer, and arborist representative throughout the Northwest region including Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. Ryan joined Bartlett Tree Experts as an Arborist Representative in 2021.
An ISA Certified Arborist, Ryan enjoys using his knowledge and experience to help his clients in the Portland Metro area maintain the health and beauty of their trees and shrubs.
Ryan has given back to his community volunteering with Friends of Trees, Hands on Portland, Pot Luck in the Park, Portland Parks and Recreation, and a variety of other community supporting organizations. In his free time, he enjoys competitive tree climbing, backpacking, cycling, reading, creative writing, and honing his relationships to people and our planet. Ryan is a father to a teenage daughter, a great friend, and a genuinely caring human being.
