More about Perry-Lee West
Perry-Lee was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia. From a young age he developed a deep connection with nature, eventually leading him to become an arborist. After high school, he began his career in earnest as a horticulturist at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens where he grew and nurtured his knowledge of plants. This passion then led him to Coastal Landscapes Nursery where he served as nursery manager and horticulturist. In December of 2021, Perry-Lee joined Bartlett Tree Experts and quickly became an invaluable team member thanks to his robust horticultural background in all aspects of tree care.
As an Arborist Representative, Perry-Lee's goal is to help clients make educated decisions about their trees and shrubs. Serving Richmond’s fan and museum district, his holistic approach focuses on a ‘ground up’ methodology that addresses every aspect of a tree’s health, from the roots to the canopy. This comprehensive strategy ensures that his clients’ landscapes are healthy, aesthetically pleasing, pollinator-friendly and ecologically sound. Perry-Lee is an ISA Certified Arborist and VLNA Certified Horticulturalist. He is deeply committed to providing sustainable and environmentally conscious landscape solutions.
Outside of his professional life, Perry-Lee is an avid oil painter and rock climber. These hobbies not only provide him with a creative outlet, but also serve as a testament to his deep love of nature. Whether he's hiking with his Great Dane, skiing or exploring the rugged landscapes of Virginia, Perry-Lee’s passion for the outdoors is evident in all he does.
