Michael Feli, Arborist Representative at Bartlett Tree Experts, works out of our Simsbury, CT office.
More about Michael Feli
Upon graduating with degrees in Environmental Science and Geology from Boston University, Michael accepted a job in New Orleans, working in the field of Environmental Health and Safety, as an Industrial Hygienist. Feeling too far removed from what initially attracted him to his studies left him unfulfilled.
Yearning to live a life outdoors and away from industrial workplaces, Michael sought out work within the urban forest back home in New England. Back in the greater Boston area, Michael took a job with a prominent tree care firm, learning the arboriculture trade. Enjoying the combination of science based plant health care paired with the physical exercise of climbing trees, he was hooked.
With his background in plant and soil science he was attracted to integrated pest management, which is the process of solving pest and disease problems while minimizing risks to people and the environment. He found the balance he was looking for, connecting his educational background with his proclivity for being outdoors.
After a successful run operating a family owned small business in the tree care industry, Michael is now a proud employee of Bartlett Tree Experts, and enjoys being on the front line of scientific tree care backed by the knowledgeable staff of the Bartlett Research Lab.
