Matthew Bishop, Arborist Representative at Bartlett Tree Experts, works out of our Wolfeboro, NH office.
More about Matthew Bishop
Matthew is a New Hampshire native and developed a passion for trees early in life by exploring the region’s forests. After graduating high school, Matthew moved to the Western United States and worked in many national parks and forests before receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in conservation and restoration ecology from Utah State University. Matthew’s love for trees was deepened when working for a local tree company to help pay for school, and that’s where he solidified his future career path. After graduating, Matthew moved back to New Hampshire to join the Bartlett Tree Experts in 2018 as a Plant Health Care Specialist. Prior to becoming an Arborist Representative, he has functioned as lead Climbing Arborist, Crew Leader, Plant Health Care Specialist, and Local Office Safety Coordinator.
Matthew has been an ISA Certified Arborist since 2015. He also holds a New Hampshire Arborist Certification, is a Certified Tree Care Safety Professional (CTSP), is Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ), and is a licensed New Hampshire G1 and F2 commercial pesticide applicator. Matthew enjoys helping the people in our community achieve the vision they have for their landscapes. With the support of Bartlett’s Research Laboratories, Matthew is committed to staying at the forefront of science so we can best manage the trees and shrubs in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.
Matthew lives in an 1800s home in Tuftonboro and spends as much of his free time as possible outdoors with his wife and children. He also is committed to being a steward of their historic home and landscape and spends a lot of his time caring for their gardens, orchard, and ornamental plantings.
