About Mary Lee Citrino
Mary Lee Citrino brings a longstanding interest in trees, horticulture, and landscape stewardship to her work as an Arborist Representative with Bartlett Tree Experts. Raised in western Pennsylvania, she gained early, hands‑on experience caring for the extensive trees, flower beds, and gardens established by her parents on family property that included plant material hybridized by noted nurseryman Warren Stokes, whose work encompassed hybridizing rhododendrons, azaleas, and Ilex crenata 'Stokes'. This early experience shaped her approach to arboriculture and plant care. Mary Lee holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Lehigh University and has been involved in horticultural and landscape stewardship efforts on Long Island for many years. Her experience includes initiating and guiding the development of a landscape management plan for the Memorial Cemetery of St. John's Church in Laurel Hollow, working with Heritage Landscapes on both planning efforts and the creation of the cemetery's first terrarium. Mary Lee focuses on the principle of "right tree, right place" when working with clients, especially in discussions about long‑term care and expectations. She lives in Amagansett, New York. Mary Lee joined Bartlett Tree Experts in 2017 as an Arborist Representative.
An ISA Certified Arborist, Mary Lee is also Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ) and a New York State licensed pesticide applicator.
In her free time, Mary Lee is currently a member of the Garden Committee at Old Westbury Gardens, Horticulture co-chair of the Garden Club of East Hampton and an approved Horticulture Judge for the Garden Club of America.
