And as an added bonus, they are great with curious 3 and 4-year old boys who love trucks, machines, and want to know everything about tree pruning and removal I used Bartlett for tree removal and pruning a few years ago at the recommendation of a neighbor, and they were my first call when I was looking to have similar work done this fall. It was easy to schedule an appointment for an evaluation of my property, and Ethan Crockett came out and provided a detailed estimate for both the work he recommended and the work I was considering. He pointed out a tree that appeared to be fine when viewed from the house but was actually rotting at the base around the other side, and leaning over a neighbor's shed. We ended up with quite a list and Ethan added considerable value by coming out again and re-grouping the list into prioritized tiers. Once we decided what to move forward with, the appointment was scheduled promptly. We got a reminder call the day before with additional information about arrival time and other preparation guidance. On the day of the appointment the crew arrived on time, evaluated the condition of the yard, and got to work. They clearly take safety seriously and had cones set up to mark areas where branches would be falling. They perform their work carefully and thoughtfully, unlike other companies I have seen who chop away at trees haphazardly. They were also respectful of my property and any adjoining property that was impacted by the work, and cleaned up thoroughly. But best of all, the crew was really great with my 3 and 4-year old boys, who supervised the work all day and peppered the crew with questions and knock-knock jokes. I was thrilled with the work they did, and my boys were over the moon with the whole experience. They probably would not be the least expensive quote you get, but their customer service, knowledge, high quality of work, professionalism, and safety are totally worth it if those are things you value.

When I have called him with concerns about individual trees, he usually finds ways to preserve them and keep them healthy. He strikes me as a guy who really cares about trees. They were here for two straight days, and they worked tirelessly. At no point was I concerned about damage or that something would go wrong, despite the fact that the Maple was oddly shaped, with large limbs hanging over my home. I was able to speak with all three of them over the period that they were here, and each of them was friendly, warm, funny, and easy to chat with. This is a rare thing, and I just wanted to recognize them for their quality, both as workers and people. They represent Bartlett very well.

Everyone on the Bartlett Team was beyond expectation. When we were shopping around for a professional to handle a very old American Elm in our backyard that appeared to be diseased with infestation of insects, we started going down our list in reaching out to tree service companies where no one even answered their phone. When we reached out to Bartlett, they answered promptly, and provided the information we needed to set up an onsite consultation. We were given the information we needed by their Arborist Ethan. Ethan was so knowledgeable and professional. We made an appointment for the crew to begin work and everything went like a well orchestrated dance. The crew worked in unison with each other and carried out two very long days of hard labor. Safety was a priority and the equipment on site was very well planned. As the tree was cut down, branch by branch carefully, it was put through a chipper, destroying all the diseased wood and debris. The worksite was spotless when they were finished. Then the stump and root grinder service came through and left the work site with a beautiful level ground. No one would ever know there was ever a 100 year old tree there. Then drawing our project to an end, we received a wonderful call from Bartlett to make sure everything had met our expectations. Bartlett is Exceptional and I would recommend them highly.
