More about Eric Barnum

A Bay Area native, Eric has always enjoyed studying local plant diversity and natural resources. He has a degree in Horticulture with a concentration in viticulture and enology from Oregon State University. Eric spent several years traveling and working in vineyards and wineries around the world before returning to California. In 2019, Eric joined Bartlett Tree Experts in Santa Barbara where he held positions including Plant Health Care Specialist, Arborist Climber, and Crew Leader. In 2023, he came home and joined Bartlett’s San Rafael office where he enjoys being close to family.

Eric is an ISA Board Certified Arborist, is Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ) and a licensed California qualified pesticide applicator. He is dedicated to using a scientific understanding of tree care to serve his clients and their trees.

In his free time, Eric enjoys hiking, motorcycle rides along the coast, and spending time at home with his cats Ember and Samira and his corn snake Fluffy.
