Dylan has been with Bartlett Tree Experts since 2013. A second generation arborist, he grew up with trees and plants as part of the family business. A childhood spent in nature led to studies in outdoor leadership at Warren Wilson College, where he worked for the campus tree crew tending to the college’s urban forest.
Bartlett’s holistic approach to scientific tree care motivates Dylan to be versatile when it comes to arboriculture. He prides himself on being a well-rounded arborist and enjoys providing comprehensive solutions to maintain the health and improve the beauty of his clients’ properties.
Dylan is a Certified Arborist with over a decade of experience in trees. He serves Amherst, Nelson and Rockbridge Counties as well as Waynesboro and Stuarts Draft and is excited to work with both new and established Bartlett customers.
When he’s not working, Dylan loves to play soccer, camp, float the river and get outside with his wife Lindsey and his sons Oakley, Heron and Dawken.

I have contracted with Bartlett on several occasions to have trees removed and trees pruned. I have been quite pleased with every visit. I was present recently when they took down a tall Sycamore tree. The space to drop the limbs and main trunk was extremely tight because of other ornamental trees in close proximity. It was impressive to see the man climb the tree, position himself, and rig the limbs to be cut. The coordination with the ground crew resulted in not one tree being damaged. The crew was professional, personable, and courteous. My hats off to Dylan and the crew who work for him. I will not go to any other Arborist than Bartlett.
