Dean Meece

Dean began his tree care career on Cape Cod before Hurricane Bob in 1991, launching his first business. He later spent over 20 years in telecommunications as a leader in Comcast's engineering operations. During the pandemic, he ran a 170-acre fruit farm in Massachusetts and returned to arboriculture in 2023 as an ISA Certified Arborist.

Dean's family roots in Maine date back to the 1700s, including relatives who owned the historic Claremont Hotel in Southwest Harbor on Mount Desert Island. He lived in western Maine in the 1990s while managing Sunday River XC near Bethel, later raising his two children on Cape Cod. After more than 45 years of visiting the region, Dean now calls Hampden home, where he lives with his partner Tricia and their dog Eloise, and proudly works with Bartlett Tree Experts serving Penobscot County.

An avid outdoorsman, Dean has climbed many New England peaks, including numerous 4,000-footers, with Katahdin his favorite. He enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and stargazing.
