More about Dan Lonergan
Dan Lonergan was raised on a family-owned horticultural farm in the Hampton Roads area where he first developed a passion for the flora and fauna that inhabit our area. He followed his passion for the outdoors to Virginia Tech where he earned a degree in Natural Resources Conservation with a focus in Urban Forestry.
Dan joined Bartlett in 2013 in the Richmond, VA office where he learned arboriculture from the ground up. His love of trees took him to the Washington, D.C. area where he became an ISA Certified Arborist and honed his skills for tree preservation. Longing to be closer to family and the Chesapeake Bay, Dan returned home to the Hampton Roads area and became part of the Williamsburg, VA Bartlett team in 2018. He is focused on providing solutions-based scientific tree care for his clients.
In his free time, Dan can be found on the Chesapeake Bay searching for saltwater game fish. He is also an avid hunter and enjoys spending time in the woods every Fall and Winter. No matter the activity, Dan is in love with the great outdoors and all it has to offer.
What Our Customers Are Saying About Dan Lonergan
It was great to come home and find the Holly Tree in my front yard upright again. Bartlett, you showed your expertise again. I even had to search to find the attachment that was used to upright it. Another great job. It is so wonderful to know that whenever I give a job to Bartlett, I can always depend upon them to do an a-plus job.

I trust Dan to advise me on the many trees surrounding my house. He understands the balance between healthy, decorative, and fruit bearing trees.

Dan certainly went far above the requirements of his job after hurricane Michael delivered us a tornado. Dan parked outside the yellow tape on our road, walked around the downed wires. He then assessed what needed to be done to clear up my lot, which looked like a war zone. Early the next morning two of Bartlett's trucks, the chipper, a mobile carrier, and a crew of three arrived in my front yard. What a welcome sight. The crew knew exactly what to do and worked extremely hard and efficiently. By three o'clock they had removed the downed trees and cleared up all limbs and debris. They even blew my yard when they finished. What a courteous crew. I have always been extremely pleased with every job Bartlett has ever done for me. Several times they have trimmed the large tree that hovers over my house, they have tested my soil, fertilized my Hemlocks, and treated problems with shrubs. Their crew cut down nine dead Dogwoods for me the week before hurricane Michael arrived and had the lot looking great. Little did we realize that several days later a tornado from Hurricane Michael would hit and that same crew came back immediately and did a great job of sawing up downed trees and cleaning up branches and debris. Dan plans to come back next spring and treat the Dogwoods that are left, and see if he can stop their dying trend. Thanks for Bartlett's great services.

As an estate manager on a densely wooded property, I have seen tree companies come and go. Hopefully, that has come to an end. Kyle was the lead man on our most recent job. Dan had set up the work order prior to the actual start date. In the interim, the scope of work changed, there were modifications to the original work order as well as additional work required by the property owner. Both Dan and Kyle took care to coordinate the work, including the change of scope, and in fact stayed on an additional day to satisfy our immediate needs. Excellent work, courteous, safe crew, and well managed company.
