Ben was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but has spent most of his life in Northern Virginia. He studied Environmental Science and Sustainability at Virginia Tech and George Mason University. A passionate lover of the outdoors, Ben pursued a career in Arboriculture with Bartlett Tree Experts, joining the Ashburn team in 2021 as an Arborist Climber Trainee. He developed a love and talent for the work, moving from the ground up. Ben has held the positions of Ground Person, Climber, Crew Leader, Plant Health Care Specialist, and Local Office Safety Coordinator, before becoming an Arborist Representative.
Ben has continued to educate himself in all aspects of Arboriculture including worker safety, climbing techniques, tree identification, soil science, and insect and disease management. He is an ISA Certified Arborist, a TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional, and is always pursuing further education and certifications. Ben appreciates Bartlett’s commitment to safety, leadership in scientific research, and dedication to its employees and clients. As an Arborist Representative, he takes pride in providing simple, science-based solutions to help clients enhance and care for their plants and properties.
Ben currently lives in Leesburg with his son, River. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors, whether hiking, camping, reading, or enjoying the company of friends and family.
