Growing up in Lincoln, RI, Andrew worked on a Christmas tree farm throughout high school. Following his interest in plant ecology, he enrolled at the University of Rhode Island to pursue a career in arboriculture. In addition to his intensive coursework, Andrew worked at the Kinney Azalea Gardens in Kingston, RI and interned at Harvard University's Arnold Arboretum to develop his skills as an arborist. After graduating magna cum-laude from URI with a degree in Urban Horticulture, Andrew started his own organic arboriculture business. Attracted to Bartlett's scientific approach to plant care, he joined the Bartlett team in 2011.
He currently lives in Rhode Island with his three dogs Doc, Booker, and Stella.
