Steven Carlson

Steve grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, where he earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Northern Illinois University. He started at Bartlett in 2018 just days after graduation. He moved to Grand Rapids in 2021 and stayed with Bartlett to continue his career in arboriculture. During his time with Bartlett has held the title of Plant Health Care Specialist, Arborist Climber, and Crew Leader prior to becoming an Arborist Representative.

Steve is a Board-Certified Master Arborist, a Certified Tree Safety Professional, is Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ), and holds a Michigan commercial pesticide applicator license. As an Arborist Representative, Steve is passionate about getting to know clients and helping them care for their landscapes. Backed by the resources of Bartlett’s Research Laboratories, he helps property owners make educated decisions about tree and shrub care.

An avid outdoorsman, Steve enjoys fishing and camping with his family as well as making new memories with his wife and daughters.
