Matthew Moates

Matthew first worked in arboriculture in 2008 in South Plainfield, NJ as a groundperson and apprentice plant healthcare technician. He then earned a degree from Misericordia University for business and sports management. However, Matthew has a long family history of arborists and has always been interested in nature and the horticultural sciences. He began a career at Bartlett Tree Experts in the West Chester, PA office in 2020. Matthew started as a Groundperson and advanced quickly holding positions including Arborist Climber, Crew Leader, and Plant Health Care Specialist prior to Commercial Arborist Representative (CAR).

As a CAR, Matthew assists both organizations and townships with ways to keep their communities not only looking beautiful but also safe for those spending time to enjoy nature in them.

Matthew is a lifelong athlete and with a passion for staying active. In his free time, he uses his extensive swimming background to help coach a USA swimming age-group team as well as triathletes looking to improve their open water swimming.
