Now is a critical time of year to prepare your trees and shrubs for the coming summer. Healthy trees and shrubs are better able to withstand the higher temperatures and weather extremes that summer brings. Proper care in spring can help ensure the health of your landscape plants.

Our Plant Health Care Specialists recently completed Research Lab Extension Specialist (RLES) training in Milton, strengthening their expertise in tree and shrub care. Barrie PHC specialist Alyssa joined the session, gaining hands on experience with application techniques and equipment. This training ensures our team is prepared to deliver precise, effective tree care and pest management as the season begins.

Alyssa focuses on protecting trees and shrubs through targeted inspections and tailored treatment programs. Her expertise strengthens our commitment to high-quality tree care and supports long-term landscape health for the properties we serve.

We are proud to recognize Konstanz Scholtz on achieving his ISA Certified Arborist designation. Over the past two years, Konstanz has been a valued member of the Barrie tree care crew, demonstrating skill and commitment to tree and shrub care. He is now stepping into a Part-time Arborist Representative role while continuing to support the crew, bringing expert knowledge and hands on experience to every property.

Crew Leads and Local Office Safety Coordinators recently attended a two-day Crew Leader Training Workshop at Landscape Ontario in Milton. This new program focuses on strengthening leadership capabilities and providing practical tools to improve communication, helping support safer, more productive crews. By investing in leadership development, we’re empowering our teams to perform at their best while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and productivity. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Winter may slow the season, but it doesn’t slow our commitment to safety and excellence. During the colder months, our Bartlett Canada team focuses on hands-on equipment training, reviewing safe operation, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting. By investing in continued learning, we reduce downtime, strengthen teamwork, and ensure our crews are fully prepared to deliver safe, reliable service when spring arrives.

Heavy snow can bend or break branches, especially on evergreen shrubs and young trees. If you need to remove snow, gently support the branch with one hand while brushing off snow with the other. Avoid shaking or striking the plant, as this can cause more damage. Simple care like this protects your landscape’s structure and health through the winter months.

The Bartlett Tree Experts Barrie office was honoured to support a client's vision to bring holiday joy to the Orillia community. Our team safely installed lights on a prominent spruce tree located along a busy street, creating a festive display for all to enjoy. We were proud to contribute to this meaningful project, combining expert care with seasonal spirit.

Holiday magic was in the air as our Bartlett crew joined the Barrie and Innisfil Santa Claus Parades this November. With ornaments hung and lights shining bright, we proudly rolled out our decorated float to spread some cheer—and we even ran into Santa along the way! Thank you to everyone who waved, cheered, and shared in the festive fun and Thanks to our dedicated team for making the magic happen!
