Construction monitoring

Once tree protection zones are established, ongoing monitoring ensures trees remain undamaged throughout construction. Consulting Arborists document changes, soil moisture, and necessary mitigation efforts.

Protecting your tree assets during construction

Once the tree protection zones have been established (including proper fencing or barriers), and construction activities begin, a Consulting Arborist should inspect the trees and surrounding area for damage or changes in trees and site conditions. This process, called construction monitoring, should continue on a routine basis throughout the entire development process. Monitoring reports should be written describing any changes, necessary mitigation, available soil moisture, integrity of tree protection zones, and other key components.
