Volunteering at the 2011 Texas Tree Climbing Championship

Joe Harris of Bartlett’s San Marcos office volunteered at the 2011 TTCC

Fort Worth, Texas
Despite heavy rain, hail, and lightning shutting down operations for 17 hours, the Texas Tree Climbing Championship resumed early Saturday morning, May 21st. Of course, Bartlett Tree Experts was there with several volunteers, including Joe Harriss, CTSP, of our San Marcos office, Bartlett’s Southwest Division Safety and Training Coordinator James Dossett, CTSP, of Austin and yours truly, Gene Basler, of Houston.

While the winners have not been published online, word on the street is that Abram Zies of Texas and Josephine Hedger of the United Kingdom are the winners of the male and female categories, respectively. The winners get an all-expenses paid trip to the International Tree Climbing Championship in Sydney, Australia, underwritten by the Texas Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture, of which Bartlett Tree Experts is a major sponsor.
