Initial attempt of this year's systemic injection for ash borer was delayed due to the heavy rainfall. The onsite technician advised that the injections could be hampered due to the high pressure in the trees transpiration. He came back in the next days to complete the injections with much better results. While most of the ash trees in our development have been cut down and removed, Bartlett's treatment has preserved our 11 ash trees for the past four years. Thank you.

Having lived in the West Chester area for over forty years and at our current location for twenty seven years we have had a few different landscape professionals service our trees and bushes. Nothing against larger companies that are well known locally and even on a national basis but the service and results were no longer being seen so I contacted Bartlett Tree Experts last month. Not only did they respond quickly but Jason who is a longtime employee and now a project manager and an ISA Certified Arborist came out and spent almost an hour surveying our property providing very good advice and information. The other well known local company we have dealt with in the past, pointed out none of these issues and we were a year or two away from loosing our Blue Spruces. Jason pointed out specific insect infestation on our Cherry Laurels, Leaf Scorch on our older Pin Oak and a major Needle cast problem with our three mature Blue Spruces. He then followed up with a detailed three page proposal and a program that was not excessive but made a lot of sense. So for a large company, they are a family owned business which we like, have the professional expertise in all my landscaping needs so we gave them the go ahead to start work. I would highly recommend Jason and Bartlett and look forward to a long relationship with them.

His evaluation helped us make decisions for a plan on how to proceed in the individual proper care of the trees. The administrative assistant, Rachel, has been equally professional. Until we saw our next door neighbor using Bartlett Tree Experts, we had been using untrained, so-called 'landscapers' and were very unhappy. Once Harvey Lerman came, he spent an hour explaining how so many of our trees and shrubs were not only planted incorrectly, but were also infected with many insects (depending on the tree or bush) and were eating away at a quick pace. Harvey designed a two-stage attack: One to kill the insects and bag worms, and two to fertilize each tree and bush to maximize their health, growth, and beauty. In 15 years here, we had never met a skilled arborist like Harvey Lerman. He is a true asset to your company. Our boxwoods (65) have never looked as good, and the growth on our property is amazing. You have stayed in business well over 100 years because of the training your entire staff has and the customer service they provide.

Dave Helliar, our Bartlett Arborist Representative and Mike Schaefer, our "master pruner", work together to keep our landscaping healthy and correctly shaped. David was prompt for the initial proposal and the work day (actually early, which was great)! He walked through the yard and even provided me a "map" of the yard to show which trees would be addressed--that made it very easy for me to relay info to my husband and that extra touch helped David to win the business. We are very pleased with the tree work done, the yard was left neat, and the guys were very professional and courteous. I always appreciate it when a crew will come over and shake my hand and introduce themselves. They worked hard, David came back to check on the job (as he said he would), and they finished even earlier than expected. We are very pleased & our yard looks much nicer now!
