While I could have had the work done for less, I opted for Bartlett's because of Joseph Bartl's obvious expertise as an Arborist and his careful assessment of my beloved Japanese Maple. He met with his crew onsite and reviewed our discussions with them. They clearly understood his directions and followed them. After the initial pruning was done, they consulted with me to see if I wanted additional pruning done. When I requested things that they felt might be not in my or the tree's best interest, they said so, which was helpful. They were all personal, professional, efficient, respectful of neighbors, and left the yard and driveway tidy.

Joe came out and checked out a tree that has been leaking sap or honeysuckle for the first time in nine years. He identified the tree and said that the problem is insects. He assured me that the tree is resilient, and the insects will be gone in about a week and the leaking will stop. He recommended a treatment during the rainy season to help with the insects next year. Quote was affordable and I am happy to hear that the tree is not dying.

I want to express my gratitude and appreciation of the wonderful job done by Joe and Scott’s crew, and the hard work by them all including Chico and Will. Scott places an emphasis on safety, and that is appreciated. The bucket truck work was done professionally and effectively. The crew worked hard, made excellent pruning decisions, and did a terrific job on the root collar clearing of several Plums. The result the client said how much better the trees look with Bartlett’s skilled pruning and workmanship. She advised me that Bartlett’s pruning cuts made the trees look better without looking hacked. Bartlett’s work is showing Scottsdale Lake HOA an example of excellent workmanship which is cost effective in the long run. I also want to let you know that Joe has been outstanding on this project. He has visited the site every day, many times, twice or three times a day to ensure customer satisfaction and to support the crew. He has provided exceptional customer service. Joe prepared a work plan for the client noting the roles of Bartlett and the Safety Committee in advance of the work start up. There was attention to safety and clear crew communication regarding this. It included placing cones and caution tape at work areas, plus other signage. IPM treatments. Joe facilitated parking clearance through his work plan and also with signage the day before the crew’s operations alerting residents of forthcoming work. Even when promised parking was not cleared, Joe, Scott, and crew accommodated the request to move the rig, and professionally and politely handled these situations. I advocated for extra dollars for this which was approved. Joe began a practice of providing daily updates to the client so there Is a clear record of work done that day and what is next. I can not emphasis how important and helpful this has been. Joe and crew have been flexible in doing a little more here and there to make the client happy. The whole experience with Joe, Scott, Will and Chico has been a pleasure and an example of Bartlett Tree Experts at their very best. Thought you would like to know.
