Sean Davis is the best. I completely trust Sean regarding advice for caring for this tree which I have co existed with for forty six years. It is stressful no matter how careful the crew is because the tree is in my front yard very close to the house, and under it is my picket fence, flowers, and shrubs. But the crew used such care to protect my property as best they could while also protecting themselves from getting injured by the enormous tree limbs falling or being lowered to the ground for them to clear. It is dangerous and challenging work, but despite the risk to themselves they did all they could to protect my property.

My first experience on getting a tree pruned since moving to San Jose. Experience was pretty good. On time arrival, hassle free execution. All in all, well done. I like to learn about how to take good care of trees and from a selfish perspective, Would have liked Sean to spend more time on that topic. He did spend some time but being a Camphor tree may not have much to do. At first, I thought Sean would not come on site to share his vision with the crew, but was glad to see him exchanging what he expected and aligning with what the crew's plans on pruning. We had three Redbuds that were declining and needed some help at our house. Glenn came out and was very knowledgeable and came up with a treatment plan. It is now spring and they all are in full blossom and starting to leaf out. We also treated our giant 100-year-old Oak tree in front of our house as a preventative measure. Everyone that I have talked to at Bartlett has been very helpful and knowledgeable. Sean Davis got back to me right away and came out to review the scope of work with the Arborist so I did not need to be there. I appreciate Sean walking me through what was wrong and at the same time not try and up sale me with a lot of unnecessary treatments or plans that I did not need. I felt like I was in good hands and will be calling again to make sure my trees and bushes stay healthy and are properly maintained. Last winter, I had a few trees that were not doing well and Bartlett treated them and removed all the dead branches and they all came back beautifully. I called them a second time to cut back large bushes on the side of my house because they were over grown, poorly shaped, and needed to be thinned out. Bartlett did a great job. They did not "over cut" so I was not left with stick trees, but took care to shape them properly and took the time to do it right. They got it done fast and I am very pleased. Thank you.

I have beautiful Japanese Maples that was in need of a good trim. Glenn, Bartlett's certified arborist, came out and took a good look at the tree and came up with a plan. Shortly afterward, two two young men, who had been trained by Glenn, and his exacting standards, arrived and did a beautiful job of trimming my Maple. It is much lighter now that some of the branches have been thinned out and most of of the heavy canopy has been trimmed out as well as heavier branches away from the roof. They were on time and a pleasure to work with. They did a wonderful job and cleaned up all trimmings before they left. I have been very impressed with the professionalism and quality of service I have received from Bartlett. I run a non profit that maintains six native gardens in a San Jose Park and we desperately needed mulch to keep the weeds down. Even though there was no money in it for them other than a place to dump their green waste, they were courteous, friendly, and brought me a gorgeous load of finely chopped wood chips. I have now used them for five mulch deliveries in our park and the quality of the mulch has been nearly as nice as the kind you would buy from a landscape supply yard that would have cost thousands of dollars in this quantity. The Bartlett team from the receptionist to the field team have been outstanding and we will be sure to continue using them.

I stopped by our Chasewood project today to take pictures for our grant reports and the owners happened to be home. They are very happy with the quality of the wood chips. They were originally opposed to having chips left on the property but their back yard now is positively gorgeous and bright. They gave a glowing review of their experience with Bartlett Tree Experts and said it was the best they'd ever had with a tree company. The wife said the first thing was that they came to the door and knocked, and were informed that these were the people that would be working on their property that day. She said during the day that she made lemonade for the workers. She then noted that the tree work appeared to be very professional with the workers roping in and taking down the pines a piece at a time. They were impressed with the way the fence boards were carefully removed at the start of the project and then screwed back into the posts at the end. They were also impressed with the skill of the drivers in backing the chipper down and across the slope in the back yard, without having to prune the branches of her cherished acacia tree.
