The crew arrived at the stated expected time. The crew consisted of three people. The group leader, Steve, checked out the work order as he surveyed the trees slated for pruning. The crew members unlimbered the towed chip machine from the truck and began to lay out their equipment for the job. The crew appeared dressed for the operations forth coming. All wore Bartlett uniforms and head gear communications equipment. I was assured by Steve that his crew was skilled and would do the job correctly. The lift truck was moved carefully into position with very careful consideration for items and vegetation in the yard. The crew did not engage in loud shouting, playing loud music, or discuss non-related items of possible interest. They completed the work order, cleaned up, attached the chip machine and departed. They left no hanging branches, no gasoline fumes, oil puddles, or broken yard plants nor machinery. Most impressive.

The communication dates to do the work was very responsive. The crew arrived and immediately was set to work. Only took a brief lunch break. Everything was cleaner when they left that when they arrived. We feel much safer with the trees after the crew did their work.

Upon completion of a survey of 200 trees located in the highest traffic areas on campus, it was determined mitigation measures were needed. Starting with the Mall area due to the number of larger older trees needing maintenance, Bartlett Tree Experts was contracted to crown clean as many trees as could be done in a week's time. They were able to remove all dead branches of 1" diameter and larger, as well as to remove parts with poor structure or old storm damage. Bartlett's crew was able to complete 49 trees in five days with 10 trees needing a large amount of mitigation. Four trees were identified as possible removals and will need further inspection to determine their viability. No damage or injury was reported and the area was left in outstanding condition.

Bartlett's crew should be commended for the outstanding work they accomplished and for the amount of care and safety they exercised while working. Outstanding work!
