More about Steve Hegedus

Steve began his career in arboriculture in 2002. He developed a passion for trees while a member of a selective logging crew in his home state of Vermont. Since then, Steve held every role in arboricultural production, from Groundsperson to Production Manager. He has extensive knowledge of fine pruning, plant health care, and technical, hazardous removals. Steve joined Bartlett Tree Experts shortly after he moved to San Francisco in 2007 and was the Local Office Safety Coordinator in that office for many years. In 2020 Steve became the Arborist Representative managing the Redwood City office before transferring to be the Local Office Manager for the Sonoma/North Bay office.

An ISA Certified Master Arborist, Steve is also Tree Risk Assessment Qualified, and is a Qualified Applicator, and a Certified Tree Care Safety Professional. Steve’s philosophy is to highlight each tree’s unique form, emphasizing its beauty while considering safety above all else.

In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending time with his family, hiking or flyfishing in the Sierras, and maintaining his bonsai collection.
