More about Rich Sala
Rich Sala has a life-long passion for the outdoors, and especially for trees. Born and raised in Connecticut, he comes from a family that has been involved with the tree care industry for generations. Rich worked for his uncle's tree service as a high school student where he developed a passion for arboriculture. He attended the University of Massachusetts' Stockbridge School of Agriculture, receiving an associate's degree in Arboriculture and Park Management. While a student at UMass, Rich interned for Bartlett Tree Experts and later secured a permanent position as a tree climber and Integrated Pest Management technician. After spending five years in the field, Rich became an Arborist Representative in the Guilford, Connecticut office. His extensive training at the F.A. Bartlett Tree Research Laboratory have given Rich a unique insight to the diagnostics and treatments necessary for comprehensive plant healthcare. Rich is a Connecticut Certified Arborist, Custom Grounds Certified, and a Certified Arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture.
