More about Mitch Oswald
Mitch has an Associate Degree in Forest Technology from Penn State Mont Alto. His interest in trees started at an early age working on his uncle’s farm and family-owned sawmill every summer from age 12 all the way through college. In 2013, after graduating, Mitch joined Bartlett Tree Experts’ Nantucket, Massachusetts office and started his arboriculture career. He advanced within the Company holding positions as Arborist Climber, Plant Health Care Specialist and Crew Leader. He returned to Pennsylvania where he was an arborist at Longwood Gardens for three years before rejoining Bartlett in Pennsylvania in 2020 as an Arborist Climber and Crew Leader.
As an Arborist Representative, Mitch enjoys helping clients make educated decisions about their trees and shrubs. He is especially passionate about structural pruning of young trees to help develop a strong central leader and proper branch spacing. He believes that care at an early age is the key to longevity of all trees in an urban setting.
A father of two young children, Mitch loves to spend time with his wife, daughter, and son. He enjoys the outdoors, hiking, camping, and teaching his daughter plant identification.
