Mike grew up in southern Ontario. After high school he headed up north to Sault Ste. Marie, where he received a diploma in Forest Conservation from Sault College of Applied Arts & Technology in 2014. With great hopes of saving our forests, Mike moved to BC and worked for two years in the timber industry. From that experience, he realized the best way to protect our trees was going to be in urban forestry, one tree at a time! Mike joined Bartlett Tree Experts in 2017, learned proper arboriculture practices and advanced within the company. He held the position of Plant Health Care Specialist prior to becoming an Arborist Representative. Mike is now the Local Manager for our Kelowna office!

As an ISA and TRAQ Certified Arborist, Mike recognizes that the Okanagan is special, and he is dedicated to taking care of our urban landscape. He enjoys providing residential and commercial clients with timely, scientific-based tree care advice. Mike’s passion, knowledge, and extensive hands-on experience are assets when working with clients to meet their specific tree and shrub needs. As Mike likes to say, "The Okanagan was built on the fruit tree industry, getting to help with that today makes me feel like I'm a part of the tradition".

In his free time, Mike loves adventuring with his wife Megan and their dog Amigo. They enjoy spending time in the beautiful Okanagan with friends and family. Mike recently welcomed his first baby girl, and he couldn't be happier!
