Kevin conducts entomological research on a variety of tree and shrub insect pests across North America, the United Kingdom and Ireland. Kevin is currently based out of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where he mainly serves the Mid-Atlantic states. In his role, he divides his time between conducting and disseminating research on current issues in landscape pest management, urban forestry and arboriculture as well as training and supporting Bartlett Arborist Representatives and Plant Health Care Specialists.

Kevin was trained as an invasion ecologist in New Zealand. Therefore, studying population trends of non-native insects across different geographic scales and understanding their impacts on forests large and small is a core part of his research. Kevin believes that as an arboricultural company that takes care of diverse set of properties on the urban landscape, Bartlett Tree Experts has a unique opportunity to be first detectors of new invasive species.

Kevin served as the president of the Southeastern Branch of the Entomological Society of America (March 2023-2024) and is currently on the advisory board of the Forest Invasion Synthesis Centre based in Prague, Czech Republic. Kevin continues to publish research articles, mentor graduate students and share his knowledge with the arboricultural and entomological communities.
