A native of Epsom, NH, Joe Davis has always had a passion for trees. At a young age, he became involved in the local 4-H club started by his grandmother. Through his involvement in the organization, Joe became fascinated with forestry and wildlife at an early age. Joe was the National 4-H Forestry winner for the state of NH and won trips to Chicago and West Virginia while still in High School. After ten years as an advanced 4-H member, Joe attended Unity College in Maine and earned a Bachelors of Science in Urban Forest Management. Joe started his Bartlett career upon graduation in 1993, working as a dendrician assisting crews with tree climbing operations. Joe was shortly promoted to Integrated Pest Management foreman and held the position for seven years. He is now an Arborist Representative in Hooksett, where he has helped care for southern New Hampshire's trees for over 20 years. Joe is a Certified Arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture, and is a past-President of the New Hampshire Arborists Association.

Joseph Davis demonstrated expert knowledge of the status of our Catalpa tree which had split and needed severe pruning in order to save a substantial portion including a new growth from the center of the split. The crew did a superior job of not only removing the half but pruning the entire remaining tree as Joseph had indicated. The clean up was hampered by the remaining snow around the area but they did the best that could be expected.
