John is an ISA Certified Arborist and holds a B.A. in Urban Studies and City Planning from the University of Maryland. John's been with Bartlett for 13 years, starting as a climber moving upward to Plant Health Specialist, to Foreman, and now as an Arborist Representative. John is a PHS Tree Tender and participates in their training sessions. For the past five years, John has given presentations at the Philadelphia Flower Show - Gardner's Studio. He works closely with Philadelphia Clean and Green association on beautifying the city through Christmas Tree Cycling and "Plant One Million." He works actively at the Scott Arboretum of Swarthmore College and gives lectures throughout the year. John works with and volunteers for many neighborhood groups and parks including; Friends of Kahn, Schuylkill River, Bala Neighborhood Club, Cywnyd Trail, Mifflin, Bardascino, Mario Lanza, Cianfrani, and Clark Parks. John works on and cares for many clients in the Philadelphia area such as Rittenhouse Square, Penn, Comcast Center, Japanese Garden, Sports Complex Special Service District, and the Philadelphia Airport. If that doesn't keep him busy enough, John is a family-man to his lovely wife, Rebecca, and two beautiful kids, Jack and Ella.
