Jeremy conducts entomological research to develop management recommendations for landscape and ornamental insect pests of woody plants. He is located at The Bartlett Tree Research Laboratories in Charlotte, North Carolina. He also collaborates with other regional research scientists to conduct and replicate research across broad geographic areas.

Jeremy’s focus is on developing solutions that provide effective and specific control of urban landscape pests while reducing impacts on non-target organisms. His graduate work centered around the integration of pest and pollinator management. The goal was to develop recommendations for making efficient and timely pest management decisions to reduce unnecessary pesticide applications and preserve native pollinator and natural enemy communities around agroecosystems. Jeremy is also interested in evaluating the efficacy of augmentative biological control agents in the urban environment to encourage populations of beneficial insects.
