More about Jason Rihn
Jason’s interest in tree care and horticulture began at Penn State Mont Alto where he earned an associate degree in Forest Technology followed by a Bachelor of Science in Forest Science. He focused on horticulture, property care, landscaping and nursery work early in his career. In 2004, Jason decided to follow his interest in tree preservation and accepted a job in New Jersey with an accredited conservation arboriculture company. In 2013, Jason and his growing family moved back to the Pittsburgh area where he joined Bartlett Tree Experts in Irwin. He was attracted by Bartlett’s family-oriented culture and approach to ethical and scientific tree care.
An ISA Board Certified Master Arborist, Jason is also ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualified, is a licensed Pennsylvania Pesticide Applicator, and a Board Certified New Jersey Tree Expert. Over the years he has amassed a vast knowledge base and distinguished himself as an expert in the field. Jason is a problem solver who uses his knowledge to balance, and bridge between, the needs of trees and people. He is grateful to have created a career by helping people appreciate and take care of their trees.
In his free time, Jason enjoys listening to and recording music, competitive pinball, and winter sports. He is married with two children and calls Forest Hills, Pittsburgh home.
