Carl (Benji) Varner was born and raised in South Carolina. He grew up on Lake Marion about an hour from Charleston and has lived in the Charleston area for 16 years. In 2007 Benji started in the tree care industry as a Ground Person. He joined Bartlett Tree Experts in 2011. He has been steadily advancing in his career. In 2018 he was recognized as a Champion within the Company for his work as a Plant Health Care Specialist of the Southeast Division.

Benji takes pride in providing clients with quality, personal service and the highest level of professional care. With the diagnostic support of the Bartlett Research Laboratories, Benji can answer customers’ tree and shrub care questions and provide recommendations that will keep their landscape healthy, safe and beautiful.

When he’s not caring for trees, Benji can be found spending time with his family and also riding the local bike trails of the Low Country.

Brian Hawkins and his crew did an excellent job. I was impressed with their willingness to remove branches that were hard to reach.
