Oct. 25, 2005 – Stamford, Conn. – The F.A. Bartlett Tree Expert Company, one of the world’s largest tree and shrub care companies, today announced the promotion of Patrick Brewer to Southwest District Manager. In this role, Mr. Brewer will manage the San Antonio, Austin and Dallas, Texas offices while working to expand the company’s presence across the southwest.

Mr. Brewer joined Bartlett in 1992 and has held a number of roles with increasing responsibility, most recently serving as Local Manager of the company’s office in Austin. He has been recognized at Bartlett on numerous occasions for his advanced knowledge of integrated pest management and plant health care. Additionally, he assisted in the launch of Bartlett’s innovative Root-Rx process, the first patented root maintenance process in all of arboriculture.

With a bachelor’s degree in Horticulture from Texas A&M University and over 20 years of experience, Mr. Brewer is a leader in the company and in his local community. He actively promotes responsible tree care practices through his participation in organizations like the Texas Urban Forestry Council, the Texas Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture, the Texas Association of Landscape Contractors and the Texas Turfgrass Association.

Mr. Brewer resides in Austin, Texas with his wife and three children. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities, particularly canoeing, swimming and hiking.
