Backpack Giveaway Benefits Stamford and Bridgeport Schools

August 8, 2019 – Stamford, CT – Working with the Department of Social Services in Stamford and Bridgeport, employees from Bartlett Tree Experts will donate a total of 72 filled backpacks to local school children. The backpacks will be distributed to children in grades K-5 in the Stamford and Bridgeport school districts.

The collection, led by Bebe Fiore, Robyn Del Vecchio and Jodi Del Vecchio, includes the backpacks as well as all of the necessary supplies outlined in the schools’ supply lists.   All items, such as notebooks, markers, folders and rulers have been donated by Bartlett employees and friends of the company, for a value of over $3500.

“During the collection period, it was exciting to see the stacks and stacks of school supplies and donations growing in our lunchroom,” said Bebe Fiore, Human Resources Manager at Bartlett Tree Experts.  “Even doing a little can make a big difference and it’s great to work for a company that supports these efforts.”

Throughout the year, Bartlett employees also participate in an annual holiday toy drive and other fundraising events for causes including local animal shelters and food pantries.
