Bartlett Tree Experts Provides Tree Care Services to Honor Veterans During 2023 Saluting Branches

September 25, 2023 – Stamford, CT – To honor America’s military service men and women, 79 arborists from Bartlett Tree Experts offices donated a day of tree work at veterans cemeteries across the United States during the 9th annual Saluting Branches Day of Service.

From coast to coast, Bartlett arborists from 21 local offices volunteered their time to benefit the largest volunteer event of its kind in the tree care industry. In addition to donating their time and expertise to safely provide scientific tree care services at 18 national and state veterans cemeteries and properties, Bartlett made a financial donation to Saluting Branches as a partner-level sponsor for the successful Day of Service.

Jim Ingram, President and Chief Operating Officer of Bartlett Tree Experts said, “We appreciate the opportunity to make a difference in the communities we serve again this year through our partner-level sponsorship and support of Saluting Branches. We are honored to pay tribute to America’s brave service men and women by donating our expertise and time doing what we do best, providing scientific tree care to enhance the safety and beauty of trees on these hallowed sites.”

Saluting Branches was created by Rainbow Tree Care in 2015 and is now a non-profit organization dedicated to recognizing and honoring veterans. The organization’s President, Brian Bruce, said: “This is an important event for the arborist community and allows us to give back to those who have served us.”

Millions of Americans pay their respects each year at national and state veterans’ cemeteries. During this year’s Saluting Branches Day of Service held on September 20th, Bartlett arborists performed tree care services that included pruning, root collar excavations and tree inspections for hazards.

The Bartlett arborists participating this year considered the Day of Service as an opportunity to use their skills and expertise in scientific tree care to honor our nation’s veterans.

Among them is Joe Davis, an Arborist Representative in Bartlett’s Hooksett, New Hampshire office, who spent the day working at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery. “We performed structural pruning and soil care applications to Red Maples and Sugar Maples. This is a meaningful way to give back to our communities and honor our veterans by helping to keep the trees in these sacred places healthy and beautiful.”
