Company Completes Aquisition of Tree Frog Tree Service, Inc.

December 17, 2024 – Orleans, Massachusetts – Bartlett Tree Experts, the global leader in scientific tree and shrub care, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Tree Frog Tree Service, based on Cape Cod. This marks a significant milestone as Bartlett Tree Experts extends its scientific tree care services to more client properties in the Lower and Outer regions of the Cape with a new office in Orleans.

With the acquisition, Tree Frog has been incorporated into Bartlett’s existing operation in Osterville. In addition to acquiring Tree Frog, Bartlett is proud to announce the opening of its new local office location in Orleans, effective at the start of fiscal year 2025. The addition of Bartlett’s Orleans office will reduce travel times for Bartlett arborist crews, providing enhanced efficiencies and customer service benefits for clients from Provincetown to Harwich. Bartlett will also gain new recruitment opportunities for talented employees in the area with the addition of its new office location.

Tree Frog operated as a tree service on Cape Cod for over 25 years. The owner of the business, Michael O’Loughlin, previously worked for Bartlett Tree Experts as a crew leader. He and four Tree Frog team members, including his father, John O’Loughlin, have made the move to Bartlett. 

Rejoining as an Arborist Crew Leader in the Orleans office, Michael O’Loughlin said, “was the best path forward for us to provide our clients with the highest level of professional, scientific tree care.” O’Loughlin continued, “Having worked for Bartlett previously and seeing their best-in-class scientific tree care and customer service in practice, I know our clients’ trees and woody plants will be in great hands. Our clients will also benefit from the diagnostic resources of the Bartlett Tree Research Laboratories to maintain healthy, beautiful landscapes.”

In addition to the two office locations on Cape Cod, Bartlett Tree Experts also operates an office on Nantucket.
