STAMFORD, CT – August 2014 – Bartlett Tree Experts today announced the following key appointments. 

Matthew Farin has been promoted to Vice President of Contracts Administration and Assistant Secretary.  As an officer of the company, he plays an intricate and diverse role in the company’s operations including heavy involvement in the bidding and contract process, support for over 250 sales representatives and corporate financial analysis.  Mr. Farin has been with the company since graduating from the University of Connecticut over 20 years ago with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. 

For the past nine years as a District Manager, Patrick Brewer has overseen the Company’s operations in the southwestern U.S.  Mr. Brewer has now been named Vice President and Division Manager.  Under his management, the company’s presence in this geographic region has expanded to eight locations including the addition of an office in New Orleans, LA.  Mr. Brewer has been with the company for over 20 years and has played an integral role in key initiatives including the launch of Bartlett’s patented root maintenance process.

Recently named Assistant Vice President of Commercial Accounts, Gregory Carbone has been chosen to lead the company’s efforts to develop and serve a growing commercial client base.  Mr. Carbone has been an Arborist Representative since 1998 where he demonstrated strong leadership skills and a superior ability to build long-term customer relationships.  He is an ISA Certified Arborist and holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Rhode Island.

After successfully leading Bartlett’s Gaithersburg, MD location as a Local Manager, Kevin Carr has been promoted to District Manager for the Northwest, a new territory for the company after the acquisition of Collier Arbor Care in Portland, OR.  An ISA Board Certified Master Arborist, Certified Tree Safety Professional and Certified Tree Risk Assessor, Mr. Carr has been recognized at Bartlett on numerous occasions for his commitment to employee training and safe work practices.    

Patrick Franklin, great grandson of company founder F.A. Bartlett, has been named Special Assistant to the President.  He will serve as the company historian and is responsible for the implementation of special projects including the Seedling Initiative in which each company Arborist Representative distributes 100 seedlings annually.  To date, over 20,000 seedlings have been distributed.  Mr. Franklin, an ISA Certified Arborist, started with the company in 2004 as a PHC Specialist and had served as a Climber, Foreman and Arborist Representative before returning to school to obtain his MBA.
