The spray tech told us the brand name and the common name of the insecticide he used before he treated the tree. As a licensed pesticide applicator myself I was impressed by his professionalism. The crew that pruned the tree were terrific. They worked nonstop and all three were friendly and courteous. They did a great job of cleaning up before they left. There are not enough words to express my satisfaction and gratitude!!! My initial phone call was based on a previous long history of Bartlett's fine work at our Ridgefield CT home. I had been waiting for months for a friend to take down some dead ash trees too close to the house and road. When one went down across the road in the 11/15 storm I was desperate for help. Other arborists we have used here in Litchfield County are no longer dependable, so I Googled and called ... never realizing you were so close in New Milford! I was welcomed and assured of help. Calum MacEwan came the very next day and I was over the moon with happiness! A young, bright, highly-qualified Scotsman! We had a great walk-around because it was clear that he was exactly the person to engage for this and future work on the property. He gave a reasonable estimate for the dead ash trees, printed it onsite, and said the removal would take a few weeks to accomplish. That was fine. I was in good hands again. What a surprise when early Monday morning a bright yellow (my favorite color!) Bartlett bucket truck with energetic crew (Jim and Ryan?) arrived, ready to work ... even in the cold rain! (Calum had called ahead with news of a convenient cancellation.) They were wonderful! I stood by in the garage and watched their meticulous preparation and take down. Everything just as I had requested. Calum and I expect to continue working together next year which is a joy and relief. There is much to be done! This pleasant, conscientious arborist and Bartlett Tree Service made this Thanksgiving an especially grateful one. Thank you!!!

We were very happy with your whole staff and Alec who was our initial contact for this project. We had used your Farmington office for a previous large Pine tree that had to removed and they did a great job too which is why we contacted Bartlett again. This project was a huge 200+ yr. old Tulip tree which was very close to our 1830 home. The coordination with everyone on your team from the crane operator to the log carrier operator who removed 2 huge truck loads of wood was great. The foreman (Nate Keller) established a welcome, clear communication with me. He checked with me to make sure his strategic decisions were OK with me (trimming a tree that was in the way, dealing with a mulch pile that was in the way, felling trunks I had previously said I wanted left standing.) And they left things in very neat order. The high level of communication with the crew was reassuring, and it insured that everything was done to my satisfaction. High praise for the foreman who conveyed a very positive happy attitude. He made a very challenging job look easy.
General Comments: They did a beautiful job pruning my beloved oak. And, again, they asked if I had any requests or feedback, which I did. It gave me a chance to request removal of one more branch that I found visually distracting. Great job.
