Michael has been looking after the health of our trees for years. He is knowledgeable, professional, and kind. On Monday, a very old, beautiful 28" diameter tree came crashing down on our home. Two large limbs came through the roof into the kitchen where I was standing mere feet away. The rest of the tree was resting on the roof and surrounding the house. My first call was to my husband, the second was to Michael at Bartlett. Michael was at my house within fifteen minutes. He assessed the situation, determined that it was not due to rot or pests, but roots had been damaged when we had some construction done and the town had required a trench some fifteen years before, so the whole tree came out of the ground. Michael told me he would have a crane and a crew at my house by 2:00 it was now 10:00. Well, everybody was here at least two hours earlier than he estimated. They went right to work, got the tree off the house and out of the kitchen without damaging anything else, which was a miracle. They cleaned up all the debris outside so not even a stick was left on the lawn. They finished by 5:00 and they tarped my roof. I was astounded how quickly they had this giant mess cleaned up. They trim trees, fertilize, diagnose, take down dead trees, but they also were at the ready when I needed them most.
