More About Matthew Samways
Matthew started working in the industry in the summer of 1996 for the National Trust Foresters, he continued on with A levels and progressed onto complete a degree at BUCU in forest product technology with forestry.
Whilst studying for the degree Mathew continued to gain experience with a local tree surgeon and then spent six months in Norfolk working for a Timber merchants selling temperate hardwoods but moved back to Buckinghamshire to work for a company that managed the trees for Ealing Council for three years.
In 2005, Matthew joined the Bartlett team as a climber quickly moving onto become a foreman then following on to become a Plant Health Care Technician for two years. Mathew then worked with Bartlett Tree Experts Safety & Training Coordinator as a supervisory foreman visiting the local offices providing both training and managing more challenging tree work.
In the last 11 years with Bartlett, Mathew has continued to expand his skills and qualifications including LOLER inspector and professional Tree Inspector as well as various other courses in order to keep abreast with modern Arboricultural practices.
