I have three Thundercloud Plum trees, approximately five years old. Located in full sun at the top of the lawn and within the lawn sprinkler area. One tree dropped leaves early last fall and was very slow to flower this season and is quite sparse with leaves too. There is a white powder on the leaves and mold-like growth on the trunk. Is this a sign of too much water?

Purple leaf plums can have several pest problems such as scale, black knot, and peach borers, as well as several foliar diseases. It is best to schedule an appointment to review this in person.
