My cherry tree bloomed beautifully but now has lacy, hole-filled leaves, though I see no insects. What might be causing this, and can it be treated?

This was more than likely done by Winter Moth caterpillars very early in the Spring. They leave by summer, but will be back next year. A program should be set up for next year and the tree should be fertilized soon. Please set up an appointment so we can take a look at this.
