I have two mature trees in my front yard. One is a Cherry Plum and I am not sure what species the other tree is. For the past several years, I have noticed a reduction in leaf growth on the Cherry Plum tree. It only appears to be happening on the west facing side of the tree. The other tree has been experiencing a marked increase in branch die back this summer even to the point where the branch dies with leaves still attached. I am not sure if I have a pest problem or if I just need to prune and increase the amount of water. Any guidance you can provide is greatly appreciated.
It sounds as if your trees are under stress, which can be caused by a wide variety of factors that are best identified on site. Please contact your local office to arrange a free, no obligation informational consultation, and together we can decide whether Bartlett can improve the condition of these trees.
