My young Japanese red maple has small white/tan spots scattered on the leaves but otherwise appears healthy. What could this be, and does it need treatment?
These spots that are on the leaves are more than likely a type of leafspot fungus. When there is quite a bit of cool, rainy weather, leafspot disease thrives. Depending on the severity of the disease, it may need treatment. Make an appointment to have a certified arborist come to your location.
